Sunday 5th August 2018 – A touring production of ‘Sinbad’ by Off The Ground Theatre (OTG) will be performing its fascinating interpretation of this legendary tale at Gordale on Sunday 5th August.

Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July 2018 – This annual exhibition is a popular event hosted by Gordale and is a particular favourite for those who truly appreciate the breath-taking combination of nature and artistry.

It has been announced that Gordale Garden and Home Centre in Burton, south Wirral, has won the ‘UK’s Best Outdoor Living Retailer’ in the Destination Garden Centre category, by the Garden Centre Association.

Mel Chapman nominated for Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year award

Mel Chapman of Anselmians Rugby Club has been nominated for Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year award. The awards are part of the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer recognition programme which provides grass roots rugby clubs and the rugby community with opportunities to recognise and reward the volunteers who make up such an integral part of the game. Mel contacted the club in September 2017 asking to set up a brand new women’s rugby union team. To be only the second one in Wirral with backing from England Rugby and the club she sat about advertising for players.

This Easter will see Dog Mania arrive at Exhibition Centre Liverpool for the very first time – over the weekend of Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April over a thousand dogs will be in the city for what is set to be the region’s largest and most exciting dog show ever!

Organised by Merseyside Dogs Home, Dog Mania builds on the previous success of Bark in the Park, which has been staged at Calderstones Park in Liverpool since 2014. With the growing popularity of the now annual event, the 2018 spectacle will take place in the indoor city centre venue for the first time.

The pupils of Wirral Grammar School for Girls are again celebrating the most wonderful GCSE results. 100% of the girls attained at least 5 A* – C grades and 59% of all grades were awarded at the very highest grades of A*/A.

Voting Opens To Find Cheshire’s Young X Factor Artists

An online public vote to find Cheshire’s best young artists opens Monday 3rd April. More than 300 pupils from 20 Cheshire schools have entered the dot-art Schools competition and are hoping for your votes to see their artwork on display in a public exhibition later this spring. dot-art Schools is already a well-established fixture in the academic calendar for many Merseyside schools; since its inception over 3000 students from almost 170 schools have taken part.
