Deeside Orienteering Club (DEE) was founded in 1969 and is an affiliated club of British Orienteering. Geographically, DEE organises orienteering and draws its membership from the area of Cheshire west of the M6, south of Manchester and extending up into the Wirral.


DEE is open for and welcomes new members of any age or status. If you want to learn more about membership then the Membership Page may assist you with details, types of membership and membership rates. Alternatively you may prefer to contact the Membership Secretary.

The Club Membership List is published to all DEE members every March, which provides the contact details of all members so that Club Members can keep in touch and Club Officials can put together teams for relays and other events like the Compass Sport Cup and can establish event teams for the numerous Club events and activities.

Cheshire and Merseyside Schools Orienteering League

The purpose of the league is to promote the sport of orienteering to school and youth groups in Cheshire and Merseyside by providing a series of orienteering events, a competitive league, a Primary Schools Championship and a relay event each school year.

For the 2012-2013 season the league is being sponsored by Buffera Ltd, who are providing  40 items of Original BUFF® multifunctional headwear to be awarded as prizes to the winners of the various individual classes in the senior league.

Cheshire & Merseyside Schools Events

Schools’ events are open to all comers, but there is not the usual full range of technical courses. There are White, Yellow, Orange, Light Green and Green courses are available at most Schools Events. If the area is not of an adequate technical standard for a green course, a long light green course will be provided. The Schools Events are ideal events for any beginners.
